Director of Project Management – Commercial & Real Estate Construction Projects
Our global client is seeking an experienced Director of Project Management to lead and oversee construction project management services within an assigned geographic market, program, or client account. This pivotal role will focus on delivering ground-up commercial and real estate construction projects while ensuring excellence in scope, budget, schedule, quality, and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, billing, accounts receivable, and expense control.
  • Lead and manage project management staff, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and team development.
  • Interact regularly with clients to ensure alignment with goals, addressing needs, and resolving concerns effectively.
  • Direct all phases of project management: procurement, initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks through comprehensive reviews and contingency planning.
  • Drive business growth, maintain client relationships, and promote cross-functional opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate governance policies and provide timely reporting to stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships by participating in civic and industry organizations.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a functional area or department with direct and/or matrix reports.
  • Make recommendations for recruitment, promotions, and corrective actions.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities for team members.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS/BEng/BArch) required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years in progressive project management, with experience in ground-up commercial and real estate construction projects and supervisory roles.
  • Certifications: LEED AP, PMP, or CCM preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis and strategic planning.
  • Advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex documents and respond effectively to sensitive issues.
  • Expert-level analytical and quantitative skills with a track record of strategic solutions in a matrix-based environment.
